After 20 years in New York, John relocated and has been based in Bogota, Colombia since April 2011. Mauro Soares is an advisor and former National Director for Renewable Energy at the Undersecretariat for Renewable Energy of the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Argentina. In that capacity, he was in charge of redesigning and implementing a new regulatory framework for the clean energy industry in Argentina. He has worked in the traditional and renewable energy industries for 20 years. He has held different management positions in the private sector where his last role was as Manager of Business Development for Tecpetrol based out of Buenos Aires. He has also worked extensively in the creation and growth of the Argentine Renewable Energy Chamber (CADER) and with other local NGOs and think tanks such as Fundación Avina, Directorio Legislativo, Escenarios Energéticos 2030, Fundación la Tierra Habla. He is a professor of Energy Markets and Project Evaluation at the National Technological University (UTN) in Buenos Aires. Since 2011, and based on his background and contributions, Mauro is a member of the BMW Foundation´s network of World Sustainable Leaders. He is an economist (Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires) and he has Master’s of Sciences in Management (Sloan Program, Stanford University).

Mr. Villalonga is the National Congressman of Cambiemos Party, representing the City of Buenos Aires, and spokesman of Los Verdes, the Argentinean eco-political organization. Former President of the Environmental Protection Agency of the City of Buenos Aires and former Political Director of Greenpeace Argentina (from 1994 to 2011).
Villalonga has been participating actively in the environmental movement since 1984. In 1985 he founded the ‘Taller Ecologista’ in the city of Rosario, one of the main environmental organizations in the region, and he was part of the general coordination until 1994. During those years he led many nationalcampaigns and from Latin America as well.
In December 2015, he took leadership of the Argentinean delegation on representation of the new government at the Conference of Parties N°22 of the United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP22 in Paris. He worked to get Argentina to a new level of international commitment in terms of climate contributions.

Maximiliano Morrone graduated as Industrial Engineer from the Catholic University of Argentina, studied at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), and holds a Master in Renewable Energy from the National Technological University (Argentina). He also studied Strategic Marketing at the IAE Business School (Argentina).
Maximiliano has 14 years of experience in the energy sector and, in recent years, has developed projects in the field of solar energy and energy efficiency.
Currently, he serves as National Director of Renewable Energy Promotion at the Undersecretariat of Renewable Energy of the Ministry of Energy and Mining of Argentina. His main responsibility is to promote the use and incorporation of different renewable energy sources to the national energy matrix. Moreover, he is in charge of defining and managing development programs, scientific and technological research, and technical studies and resource inventory in Argentina.

Alberto Cuter has been involved in renewable energy since 2008. He served as Sales Director in Phoenix Solar and Heliosphera and joined Jinko Solar in 2010. He opened the Italian branch and developed the Italian market positioning Jinko as leader modules supplier in 2011 and 2012. In 2013 he was appointed as Sales Director of Emerging Markets (LATAM and MEA). He developed and positioned Jinko as market leader in the most important market such as South Africa and Chile with more than 30% of market share, making Jinko the leader modules supplier in the region.
As per new strategy of Jinko management, in July 2015 he was appointed as a General Manager Latam and Italy to lead a team of high professional managers in 7 countries across the region. Actually Jinko has been recognized as market leader in Chile, Brazil and Central America, with more than 600 MW sold in the region.
Prior to stepping into solar PV industry, Alberto Cuter has worked in the telecommunication Industry as Sales Director in companies as Telecom Italia, Wind and Deloitte Consulting.

Jorge Horacio Giubergia graduated in 2001 as an Industrial Engineer at the University of Buenos Aires. In 2003, he graduated as “Nuclear Energy Technological Applications Specialist” at the Balseiro Institute, and in 2005, as “Nuclear Reactors Specialist” at the Nuclear Studies Institute, Dan Beninson.
He was in charge of the Division of Energy Prospecting and Planning of the Constituyentes National Commission of Atomic Energy, where he managed, coordinated and conducted studies about national and international electricity markets. He evaluated current and developing technologies from an economic, environmental and technical point of view. He conducted studies of the location of new nuclear power stations and coordinated the implementation of the institutional strategic plan. Moreover, he took part in a number of national and international projects, participating actively in congresses, scientific meetings, workshops, technical meetings and methodology evaluation of energy planning.
From 2014, he is in charge of the laboratory of Physics in the Catholic University of Salta and serves as Director of the research project “Evaluation of the sustainability of replacing traditional distribution electric transformers for transformers with amorphous nuclei in the Salta province”.

Asier has been involved in solar energy since 2007. He served as CFO and PV Director in Abengoa Solar US, Global PV Project Director in Abengoa Solar, Energy Sales and Project Development Director New Markets-Latam in SunEdison and joined Jinko Solar in October 2015. Currently he is the Managing Director of the Americas for Jinko’s Internation Power Division.
He was part of the team that developed and won 500MW of CSP in the US and led the award of USD 3 billion of Federal Loan Guarantees from the US DOE. He has bid in private and public tenders in different countries in North, Central and South America, Africa and Australia.
Jinko Solar was awarded in the past year with 3 solar PV projects totaling 250MWp in the first Mexican renewable energy auction, being the first projects of Jinko’s International IPP business and recently was awarded a 94MWp in the Argentinian tender RenovAr 1.5. He is now also looking to expand the IPP business to more Latam countries as well as US and Canada.
Prior to joining the renewable energy space, he was in project finance and also worked as a stock and derivatives trader in a brokerage house.

Previously, he played roles in Techint Engineering & Construction in planning industrial and energy projects.
Currently, Diego serves as Coordinator of Wind Mention in the Master in ER - UTN, Professor of Renewable Energy, ITBA, and Professor of Wind Energy in the Degree in Energy Engineering, UNSAM.
